CENTER FOR PRECISION PSYCHIATRY

The Center for Precision Psychiatry was established in 2018 to harness the tremendous resources of Danish psychiatric genetic studies together with Danish registers. The aim of the center is to advance the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness with greater precision and accelerate the translation of scientific findings into clinical practice. Our research is part of the iPSYCH initiative. The Center focus on a number of domains including the following.

Φ Identification
– Stratification of psychiatric patient subtypes

Φ Comorbidity
– The study of disorders that co-occur with mental illness

Φ Patient trajectories
– Developing new approaches for identifying how genetic variants predict patient illness trajectories, comorbidities and outcomes.

Φ Societal Impact
– Social and economic consequences of mental illnesses
