The Research Institute of Biological Psychiatry is an international research facility based on the Psychiatric Hospital of Sct. Hans in Roskilde.
The institute is the epicenter of biomedical psychiatric research for the Mental Health Services in the Capital Region of Denmark.
Furthermore, we represents one of six partners in the worlds largest psychiatric research project – iPSYCH Initiative – and we are affilliated with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Copenhagen.
We work in close collaboration with some of the best research groups in the world within our field, and we regularly publish results in major scientific journals.
Using our expertise and the unique dataset from the Danish population, we strive to describe and discover biological mechanisms leading to psychiatric disorders.
